Leeds-based property development and investment company, Eshton, has sold a 196-space car park at its Springwell 27 scheme at Birstall, Leeds for an undisclosed sum.
Acquired by a private investor, the car park was completed in October for Ocado and adjoins its 10,500 sq ft regional distribution depot.
Ocado required the extra space to facilitate its partnership with Morrison’s to distribute its online products.
Springwell 27 is occupied by 11 local businesses in 33,000 sq ft of units including Floorbrite, UPVC Maintenance, TC Harrison and DSP Electrical. Creation of the car park is the final phase of development at the 8-acre scheme.
Jonathan Chapman, director at Eshton said: “Considering Ocado was the site’s anchor tenant, it seems befitting that expansion of their operation and our subsequent sale of the car park completes development at the site.
“It’s a quality scheme which we are proud to have completed and we will now turn our attention to the other sites we have at different stages of development across the North of England.”
